Photographers can expect to pay $467 for a set of (50) custom save the dates (Save-the-Date, Pre-Addressed Envelope with Liner and Postage). Your total could be more or less since Pricing varies based on the package selected and the number of save-the-dates you wish to include in your photography packages.
I recommend incorporating this cost (plus a little buffer) into your photography packages. Be sure to let your clients know that this is a gift, an additional service so as to prevent anyone from asking for a discount. (Let’s be honest, we all know that’ll come up!)
The Partnership Process
For the most part, you’ll keep doing what you’ve always done. When a new client picks a package that includes save the dates, you’ll just complete a form (that I’ll have already sent you) with the client’s information so I know that a new project is starting up.
When the day of your engagement shoot arrives and you’ll work your magic behind the lens.
While your working on editing all those gorg photos, I’ll be getting all the details from the couple on their wedding vibe and personalities to use as inspiration for their save-the-dates.
With details collected and your amazing phots (which you’ll have sent over) I’ll sketch up 2-3 different design options from which we’ll make the final, I do!
Now that the design’s been chosen, I’ll get to work drawing, painting and adding all the color to bring it to life.
We’ll make sure every detail is just right during our two in-depth revision sessions and get the save-the-dates ready to be printed.
Looking fab and ready for it’s time to shine, the save-the-dates are off to the printers. Then I’ll get to work assembling. That’s right! This is a hands-off experience just for you and your couple. I’ll be the one to glue, stamp, stuff, and mail everything.

The average package costs $590 for 50 custom save the dates that include a save-the-date with an addressed, stamped + lined envelope.

Although Beauty Bright Design is located in Lincoln, NE, I design stationery for couples and party planners (and photographers) all around the world. (My designs have gone as far as Australia which is literally the opposite end of the world!)
As a member of the Save-the-Date Partnership, your projects get top priority on my calendar! I try to have the sketches of the design completed prior to your engagement session, to speed up the design process. So from finalizing the design details to delivery of the save the dates takes just 2-3 weeks.
All the save-the-date partnership packages include digital (flat) printed save the dates.
If you would like to include foil, letterpress or thermography for your clients save-the-dates, you can submit a request for a custom partnership package with these printing styles included.
Please note that thermographic, letterpress and foil press printing methods can be costly and I would budget an additional $800-$1500 dollars in your calculations.
